The creator, CARINE PECHAVY

Some designers come from a design background, others from business. Carine Pechavy masterfully brings together both worlds.

Holding a Master’s degree in Art History, she grew up surrounded by museums, fascinated by architecture, decorative arts, Art Deco lines, and classical proportions. Even before creating objects, she was learning how to truly see.

She then spent 20 years leading her family’s business in the timber trade.

In 2019, to celebrate the centenary of the family group, Carine created a box of natural firelighters and a scented candle. The idea of a brand began to take shape. She returned to her sketches, and in 2021 founded MAISON PECHAVY, a creative house dedicated to objects of light. The candlestick became her field of expression: an architectural object, structured through drawing and brought to life by material.

Each piece begins on paper. Carine draws by hand, searching for balance and refining proportions. The gesture always comes before production. The pieces are made in France, in workshops with exceptional craftsmanship. Wood, brass, stainless steel, eco-resin: materials chosen for their strength, nobility, and lasting quality.

Her approach is guided by a simple yet powerful conviction: to create with high standards, to produce responsibly, and to bring light—and a touch of magic—into every home.
