Founder and Managing Director of Pechavy Energies Alternatives, then President of the national wood pellet industry, Carine Pechavy didn't really seem destined to make her mark in the world of decoration.
But she was. It all began when, on the occasion of the family company's 100th anniversary, Carine Pechavy had the bright idea of creating a box of firelighters made from natural wood wool, as well as a scented candle she called “Laüsa” - étincelle in Gascon - as gifts for guests. A real success, the candle quickly became the subject of numerous requests, and Carine soon wondered whether this might be a sign that something new was opening up for her.
Fire. With her passionate nature, Carine Pechavy decided without hesitation to bid farewell to wood engineering and embark on the manufacture of objects that would reconcile her attachment to the material but into which she could infuse her creative spirit and her love of beauty.
Trained in art history, she has retained a great sensitivity to all artistic currents, and takes great pleasure in imagining and designing her creations, inspired by poetry, literature and the great mythological classics.
Because above all, what drives her is magic.
