With the new Shokudai collection, MAISON PECHAVY unveils a series of sculptural candle holders inspired by Japanese aesthetics and the subtle art of shadow.

Small, chic and brass candle holders

These two solid brass candle holders stand out with their sculptural lines, inspired by the architecture of Japanese pagodas. These small golden candle holders are designed to hold a slim candle with a diameter of 1 cm. Designed to be stacked, they allow you to create compositions at different heights.

Conceived as true decorative modules, these stackable candle holders can be used individually or combined. Stack them as you wish and let your imagination run free to create bespoke candle holder compositions that reflect your personal style. Create modules at different heights and play with proportions to design candle holders that are as low or as tall as you desire.

Brass candle holders, made in France

MAISON PECHAVY places great importance on collaborating with French manufacturers renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship. These candle holders were crafted by a company specializing in precious metalwork, including brass. This French, human-scale company uses an alloy that is also produced in France.

This collaboration has brought Carine Pechavy’s original sketch to life. Brass, a noble material, is both timeless and durable.

French hand-crafted candles 

These elegant candles are handcrafted. They are made using the ‘plunge’ method, which allows the craftsman to create candles with a conic shape that thins out towards the top. The cotton wicks are placed in a U-shape on wooden sticks. Attached to frames, these sticks are then dipped in wax by the waxmakers.

The pigments are sprinkled in the melted wax. This process produces vibrant, surprising colours. Once lighted, these candles give off a soft, pleasant light. They burn slowly and emit no smoke.

To enjoy your candle for longer, you can put it in the fridge for 30 minutes before burning. The cold will compact your candle, which will burn more slowly and won't drip.

- Do not leave the candle wick to burn without supervision.

- Cleaning and care: To keep this candlestick shining, we recommend using our cleaning kit for brass candlesticks, composed of a Mecano Louis XII product, a microfibre cloth and a pair of gloves. You can also leave the candlestick to develop a natural patina. Hot water will suffice to remove any wax drips. 

- Do not leave these candle holders outdoors for long periods. Variations in temperature and humidity could oxidise the brass.

- To get the most out of your candles, place them in the fridge 30 minutes before burning.
