Candle box, method of manufacture

The method of making candles called "plunge" allows to shape artisanal and decorative candles that are refined towards the top. The cotton wicks are arranged in U shape on wooden sticks, fixed on frames and then dipped in wax. The color pigments are sprinkled in the melted wax.

The colors obtained are lively and sometimes surprising to create unexpected shades. They are obtained when the wax producter sprinkles the color pigments into the hot wax.

Candle box, beautiful composition

Discover this beautiful set composed of a set of long matches and fine candles GISMONDA. Yellow, this pure and bright color adorns your interior and illuminates it in all seasons.

GISMONDA is a play performed by Sarah Bernhardt in 1894. For this piece, the actress asked MUCHA who creates the poster of this piece where deep yellow dominates mixed with shades of khaki.

Arranged as you wish in our candlesticks, these handmade candles from 0.8 to 1 cm in diameter bring color into your home. Create a harmonious ensemble by placing the MAISON PECHAVY long match set next to these unique candles, placed on the mantle of your fireplace or on a console. Handcrafted fine candles

- a Gismonda set of 10 fine candles: 3 miel, 3 tobacco and 4 khaki (a Maison Pechavy exclusive color)

- Height 30 cm, between 0.8 and 1 cm diameter at the base

Long matches

- 40 GISMONDA long matches in untreated poplar

- Length 19.5 cm

Decorate your home with these fine, colourful candles to add a touch of light and freshness.

If the base of the candle is too wide, just make a small incision at the base (to remove the first layer of wax) to position it correctly in the candleholder. If the base of the candle is too thin, you can use a piece of paper to wedge it in place.

To optimise the use of your candles, place them in the fridge 30 minutes before burning.
